I founded Bentley Harmon PLLC to help education and mission-driven organizations navigate workplace and compliance challenges thoughtfully, proactively, and strategically.
My background spans employment litigation, federal civil rights enforcement, HR and operations leadership, and in-house executive counsel. I began my career as a high school teacher before becoming an employment attorney and later conducting civil rights investigations involving educational institutions within the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights.
Today, I advise organizations navigating complex people and compliance issues—from performance management and employee relations to policy development, training, and leadership support. With experience advising and operating within complex mission-oriented environments, I provide practical guidance that aligns workplace strategy, organizational values, and legal compliance.
What makes my approach different is the ability to see these challenges from multiple perspectives: legal, operational, educational, and human.
I understand how workplace issues escalate, how institutional systems break down under pressure, and what leaders need in order to respond effectively while staying aligned with their mission.
